Top Tips from our Head Chef

We’re all about desserts and sweet treats here at the Land’s End Restaurant.

Aside from sizzling steaks, fresh fish and veggie delights; our talented Kitchen Team have been busy creating baked goods this week, and Head Chef Carl has kindly shared one of his famous recipes with us:

To recreate the Land’s End Apricot & Coconut Flapjack you will need:

900g Butter

680g Golden Syrup

680g Caster Sugar

450g Desiccated Coconut

450g Chopped Dried Apricots

1300g Porridge Oats

 

Method:

To begin: melt the Butter, Caster Sugar and Golden Syrup in a pan until boiling.

Next, add the Desiccated Coconut and the Chopped Dried Apricots. Make sure you mix this well.

Now you need to gradually add all of the Porridge Oats until all are combined.

Then place the mixture in a greaseproof tray, and cook at 160 degrees centigrade for 20 minutes – and voila, there you have it.
